Artists Who Care (AWC) is an organization whose mission is to help agencies caring for people to create wish lists of items that can be made by artists and crafts people in their community.  We then work with artists and crafts people to ensure these wish list items reach the agencies in need. Specifically, we contact agencies and ask them to crate wish lists. Our contact will be through phone calls, print ads, PSAs or website. We subsequently contact art guilds, individual artists and crafts people in their community and communicate the needs of the agencies. We contact the artists using numerous methods: handing out brochures at craft shows, sending brochures to guilds throughout the country, print ads, PSAs, and our website. Membership (though not required) to Artists Who Care includes the following benefits: discounts to craft stores, an Artists Who Care Pin, and e-newsletters. Chapter membership will also be offered. At the same time we will be contacting retail craft supply stores and asking them to offer discounts to members of Artisits Who Care. We will measure our overall success by requesting guest book entries on our website and participation forms to be completed and sent to us so we can quantify items donated. We will also measure our success by the responses we receive from the agencies.
